Training structure
Our 3D modeling training provides students with an up-to-date, comprehensive body of knowledge, enabling them to learn about the process of three-dimensional imaging from both a theoretical and practical perspective. This field is not only becoming increasingly fashionable, but is also a revolutionary innovation in certain industries (construction, dfa). It makes it possible to carry out preparatory inspection tasks and various measurements much more easily and cost-effectively.
Theoretical training
- Photogrammetry basics
- process of photogrammetric elaboration
- creating a rare point cloud
- creating a dense point cloud
- creating a 3D model
- introduction to export formats
- classification of Digital Elevation Models
- relationship between BIM model and drones
- creating a digital terrain model
- creating a digital surface model
- introduction to the theoretical basis of volume calculation
- creating and exporting a point cloud
- creating and exporting a 3D Model
- creating a Digital Elevation Model
- practical exercises using geospatial/photogrammetric software:
- Drone Deploy
- QGIS
- Pix4D Mapper
Practical training
- activating airspace
- preparing the drone to perform the task
- execute pre-flight checklist
- calibration process as required
- flying around the object manually
- features of automatic flight
- setting SURVEY mode for 3D survey
- setting ORBIT mode
- setting camera orientation
- making a 3D survey
- performing a pre-flight check
- perform landing in manual / automatic mode
Trainers
Máté Keczer
UAS Operations
Director
As a licensed air traffic controller, he has up-to-date information on the legal regulation and ethical background of flying an aircraft. He helps our students to acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to use drones safely.
Károly Ludvigh
Service and Technical Director
Thanks to his drone builder past, he gained a deep knowledge of the external and internal structure of the drone. He has gained experience with many industrial and video drones in the last 6 years. One of the most important competencies of a pilot is to get to know his drone in as much detail as possible, so they can be prepared in case of any surprises.
Zoltán Török
International Licensed Trainer
He graduated from drone academies in several countries, where he could learn from long-standing professionals who had used UAS for industrial purposes on a daily basis at the beginning of their 21st century appearances. Drones manufactured for this purpose are very different from UAVs made for private use, so it is important that our students gain knowledge and experience with real machines and real conditions.

By completing our training you also become a member of a new community.
In the ABZ Drone Pilots group, you will never miss the latest drone updates. Enjoy how fellow pilots help each other with all things UAV!
